s Cover stock and pages for your book will vary depending on the availability of the materials. However, I am committed to create a chapbook that reflects the "spirit" of your work through quality materials from which it is made.
And when available, I will incorporate vintage papers (pre-1990 stock).
s Before we begin...please note:
Because I am truly a small press, handmade book artist, I will give your edition ample but a specific time frame for completion.
s If you have a target date for the delivery of your edition, please consider your timeline and submit your works as far in advance as possible.
s Poets' Responsibilities & Options:
After we agree to work together: I will e-mail you a contract, then...
n Send back the one-time, non-refundable set-up fee with the signed contract via snail mail.
n Send your work via e-mail DOC form in a timely manner.
n You are responsible for the order of your poems, structure, spelling, etc.
Remember to included your USBN number if applicable. one-time set up fee/75.

s Other considerations:
w sp/hm does not provide a USBN number. If you wish a USBN number, you must
apply for one and send it with your submission.
w sp/hm does not distribute chapbooks but will readily offer supporting reviews
and offer promotional materials (table top posters, fliers, photo post cards, etc.)

w Process toward Completion:
Your written work:
o Please set-up a DOC of your text which can be printed on standard office paper.
o Please indicate the sequence of your poems. If there is no indication of a
certain sequence, I'll use my best judgment to discern the flow of the work.
s First Mock-up: The physical, raw chapbook - after I receive your DOC -
n "First Mock-up" will be returned via snail mail.
There will be a time frame in which to return this mock-up to me with your updates, corrections, etc. at no additional cost.
n "Second Mock-up:" Your updates and corrections will be returned to you in a timely manner.
With your second mock-up, you will also receive samples of cover stock & interior papers, vintage papers if available,
and samples of type face, graphics, or other visuals. (No obligation to use any graphics, illustrations, etc.)
At this point, you will make decisions and select stock, paper, graphics, type face, additional options.
In essence, we are now beginning to create your chapbook edition as a "prototype."
Once I receive the "second mock-up" with your selection of papers, etc., I will e-mail you with any questions or concerns.

n The Prototype:
n After I receive your second mock-up, with your selections, a prototype of your chapbook
will be sent to back you in a timely manner for your final approval.
n You will have an ample but limited time frame to send back your approved prototype.

Approved prototype.
n Please note: After I receive your approved prototype,
I will begin crafting your chapbook edition.
Any adjustments of any kind after this time will incur an additional fee of /50.
